Dogs at Keld Down Plantation...

We are so happy to welcome your dogs along to experience

a holiday and the woodland. And there are many wonderful walks in the area. Along with a fantastic dog field called Sammy’s field (see leaflet)

We do ask kindly that Dogs are kept on the lead when exploring the woodland.

We are a farm with livestock and we are surrounded by sheep farms,

as the danger and attacks on sheep are so devastating, local farmers would not hesitate in shooting a dog that is attacking sheep.

We also ask the you keep an eye on what your dog is eating around the woodland, some plants and fungi can be toxic and we cannot be held responsible for anything that happens.

There is also the worry that our woodland animals get attacked.

And on another side we do have badgers in our wood, and they can be quite vicious when scared. So please do not try to approach them if you see them, and keep the dog out the way for their safety.

We also as ask if all dog foul be picked up and placed in the bins provided by the car park. As you are aware dog waste can be very toxic and we don’t want it to damage the woodland or wildlife in it.

We really hope your dog has a wonderful stay and have placed gates onto the verandas so they can feel happy wandering around while you are relaxing in your hut.
